Personal Trainers

Chad CabreraChad Cabrera:

I'm Chad and I have my B.A. in Mathematics and recently completed my M.A. in Exercise Science.  I am certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).  Also, I am going into my fifth semester teaching Brazilian Jui-jitsu here on campus.

When it comes to my training style I not only try to employ the most useful and up to date training methods but I also develop simple computer programs to help personalize training variables.  My physical interests include: Brazilian Jui-jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and Mixed Martial Arts.

I am Alan and I have my B.A. in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science.  Currently I am pursing a M.A. in Exercise Science.  I am certified as a Personal Trainer and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).   I have been working with athletes for nearly 2 years as a strength ad conditioning coach and I have experience in Olympic weight lifting, track and field, and various martial arts.  I am always looking for new and inventive ways to improve my area of health and fitness.

My training philosophy is to train you efficiently and effectively to your utmost ability by helping you reach your goal one day at a time.

My name is Andrew and I have worked here at the Student Recreation Center since it opened in February 2006.  I am an Exercise Science major.  I recently took my training further and became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.  I currently am a Group Fitness Instructor for BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, and RPM.  My true passion is inspiring people to make fitness a priority in their lives.  My varied background in teaching classes, coaching sports teams as well as my dedication to Rec Sports and Fitness and the Student Recreation Center all play a role in my approach to personal training.  I truly want to help you reach your health and fitness goals in the best and most effective way for you.  I also aim to inspire you to continue making such goals for a lifetime.
