Current fee paying students are automatically eligible to use the Student Recreation Center. All that is needed for entry is your Student ID card. Faculty and staff can join in the Member Services Room (#102). Faculty and Staff rates are as follows: $25 per month or $250 per calendar year.
One guest per student is allowed during a visit to the Student Recreation Center. There is a $5 fee and you and your guest must register at the front desk.
We are trying a no sign-up policy for Spring 2008. If classes get too crowded, we will revisit this issue, but for now there is no need to sign up.
You need water, a towel, workout clothing, as well as closed-toe non-marking soled shoes. No glass bottles or colored fluid of any kind are allowed in the Group Fitness Room.
Yes we do! Towel service costs $5 per semester.
You may purchase a locker between 8am and 5pm at the front desk of the Member Services Room. Locker rates run $45 per semester and $120 per year. Locker rental includes towel service.
Our Personal Training Department is now available to show you how to use some of our basic equipment. Equipment orientations are free! If you would like more detailed workout help, we do have Personal Training packages available for purchase. Call 347-3800 for details, or visit the trainers in the Member Services Room (#102) of the Student Recreation Center.
Please visit the Training Tips page for more information.
The two parking spaces closest to the door are for temporary parking, not for use for the duration of your workout. The spaces closest to building with the exception of the first two are available for usage during your workout with a valid campus parking permit. On the far side of the parking lot, the first four spaces are reserved for the Lyles Center for Entrepreneurship and are not to be used for Rec Center usage. The rest of those spaces are meters, enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overflow parking should go to Lot V, which is a green lot.
Simply call 347-3871 and inform the attendant that you would like to make a reservation. They will inform you which timeslots are open. Reservations are for one hour time slots. Back to back reservations are prohibited. No two people in the same party can reserve consecutive timeslots.
Because our facility is for the students primarily, the Rec Center is not available to spouses of faculty and staff members. We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause.
Please inform a floor or front desk attendant immediately. If you are bleeding, please stay where you are and send someone near you to inform an attendant. If you have fallen and there is a risk of any neck or spine injury, please stay where you are and DO NOT LET ANYONE MOVE YOU until you have been cleared by Rec Center staff.
We are always looking for ways to improve our facility and programs! Email us and the appropriate administrator will strive to respond to your request within 48 hours.
