Additional Equipment
Stability Balls
Also referred to as "Swiss Balls", stability balls have become a staple to many workout routines. Easy to sit on, lay on, use for exercises requiring a large range of motion, stability balls challenge smaller and often overlooked muscle groups.
BOSUs
"Both Sides Up" half ball, flat bottom. These can be used similarly to a stability ball, yet the flat bottom provides much more support. This design facilitates a secure movement over a large range of motion without requiring the exerciser to self-stabilize.
Medicine Balls
Medicine balls are weighted and provide an alternative to hand weights. Their design allows dynamic passing exercises to blend nicely with strength and toning work.
Dumbbells
Hand weights are available in a wide variety of weight, from 2# to 110#. Dumbbells allow work through a non-guided range of motion. A combination of free weights such as these and machines make for a well rounded strength routine.
