In addition to the 14 and 19 meal plans, a 14-flex plan and a 10-flex plan are offered to all residents, and the 7 meal plan is offered to qualified returning residents only. With a flex plan, $125 per semester is provided on your campus I.D. key card which can be used at on-campus Food Services operations. The Flex plans are not subject to refund. NOTE: *qualifying returning residents are those who resided in University Courtyard for the full previous license agreement term (Fall 2010 and Spring 2011) On a per semester basis, each plan allows for a total number of meals:

It is the student’s responsibility to be able to keep track of meals eaten. The 19, 14, 10 and 7 plans are suggestions as to how many meals you should be eating a week. For example, if you have the 14 or 14 flex meal plan, you can eat more or less than 14 meals per week. However, be aware that you may use up your meals before the end of the semester, or have a pool of unused meals that are non-transferable and non-refundable. It is up to you to balance your meals every week.
A: Students who have 7 Plan or 10 Flex plan have 5 guest meals per semester. Students with the 14 Plan, 14 Flex Plan or 21 Plan have 10 guest meals per semester. When bringing a guest(s), tell the person at the register that you would like to use your guest(s) meal. Both your meal and your guest’s meal will be deducted from your meal plan. There are no restrictions on when or what meal you have a guest(s). However, anyone can eat in the University Dining Hall by paying for their meal.
A: A flex plan provides the student with $125 on their student ID card and can be used at any food service site on campus except for the Satellite Student Union Snack Bar.
A: Not at all. You can add more money at any time during the semester. Just go to the University Dining Services office located on the lower level of the University Dining Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
A: You should immediately report your missing card to the University Key Card Office located in Joyal administration. This is because it would be possible for another person to find your card and use your meals that you’ve already paid for. Be sure to protect your meal balance by reporting your old card lost, and getting a new one.
A: Meal Plan Change Applications are accepted September 5-9 or January 3-February 9 only, at the Food Services Office, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. weekdays. If you are eligible to change your plan, the change will occur one week after the application period. **Refer to 2011-2012 University Courtyard Handbook for additional information.
